Sending Help and Hope to Our Laguna Frontliners

The season of Easter reminds us to remain hopeful and steadfast in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by this message, Pilipinas in Action sent over help and hope to our frontliners in the province of Laguna.

With hundreds of suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases, hospitals in the province face the challenge of maintaining adequate stocks of medical supplies and protective equipment, while ensuring the health of their frontliners as they confront the highly contagious virus.

Responding to their calls for support, our team gathered a new round of medical supplies and equipment. These include surgical face masks, coveralls, and disinfectants to aid in the handling of patients. In addition, with the help of our partners, Onestop Distribution and Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics, our team was also able to gather a fresh batch of soup and milk donations to help boost the nutrient intake of our Laguna frontliners.

On April 13, a day after Easter, medical supplies and food packs were delivered to the following public and private hospitals in Laguna:

-Dr. Jose P Rizal Memorial District Hospital in Calamba City;
-St. Jude Family Hospital in Los Banos;
-San Pablo District Hospital;
-Laguna Medical Center in Sta. Cruz;
-GC Hemodynamic Inc in Binan City; and
-Hospitals in the Municipality of Bay, Laguna, courtesy of Mayor Joe Padrid.

Our team is committed to continue aiding our frontliners in saving lives and safeguarding our communities against the COVID-19 virus. We count on the generosity of our individual donors and partners to be able to extend help and hope to more areas in the coming days.

Pilipinas in Action welcomes gestures of charity for our frontliners and partner communities through our official website
